Faisalabad man confesses to killing wife

FAISALABAD: In a rather strange turn of events, a man admitted killing his wife before the police authorities during investigations on Monday. The man had initially pinned blame over his seven-year-old child for shooting his mother by mistake.

The authorities have arrested the suspect, Rizwan, and booked him under the murder case after an investigation spanning over three hours. The deceased, Hina, was killed at her home in Munirabad area of the city.

The suspect initially maintained that his son seven-year-old, Azan, was playing with a loaded pistol and he mistakenly shot his mother. But on the insistence of the deceased’s family, the suspect was thoroughly interrogated where he confessed to his crime.

The deceased’s sister maintained that the suspect had also previously fired on late Hina and was involved in severe domestic abuse.

“It’s a blatant lie that Azan has shot his mother how can a seven-year-old carry the weapon,” she said
