Anti-encroachments operation continues

LAHORE: The district administration continued anti-encroachments operation on the 65 th consecutive day and cleared more than 50 kilometer area in all the nine towns under its control, here on Friday.

The administration of the towns following directions of the DCO took part in the operation and removed several illegally constructed shops, pedestals and other structures.

FIRs were also lodged against the encroachers in different areas of towns.

According to the city administration sources, anti-encroachment teams also seized six trucks load of different materials.

The towns have also been directed by the DCO to monitor areas continuously where encroachments had been removed so that encroachers could not reconstruct illegal structures.

The administration prepared a strategy to establish cart markets in all towns under which specific areas would be allocated for selling goods on carts so that roads could be saved from encroachments and traffic mess. (APP)
