ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday performed ground-breaking of Federal Urdu University Hyderabad at a ceremony held in the federal capital.

Addressing the ceremony, the prime minister said he felt very happy for having performed ground-breaking of university in Hyderabad.

"Roads are often made, progress is made when funds are spent on the masses," he maintained. "No nation can progress without education."

Khan said the real protection of the state and the nation was possible only through education.

He said what sort of mindset was it which was opposing establishment of a university. "I am astonished as to who is opposing a university in Hyderabad and why."

The prime minister said the youth would take the country forward if they were educated, and if they were not provided with education then the country would decline.

He said the dream of becoming a great nation could not be realised without education.

"Our government is paying special attention to justice and education," Khan said. "We will share the experience of NUML with Hyderabad university."
