CHAMAN, Balochistan: At least one man was killed and eight others were wounded after a blast in Chaman, Balochistan Friday evening, police said.

Officials said the explosion, which took place on Mall Road, caused damage to several shops, cars and bikes. 

They said the explosives were laden on a motorcycle.

The wounded persons were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital, the officials said further, where an emergency was imposed.

Meanwhile, Trench Road and Mall Road Chowk in the city were closed for any kind of traffic. 

Security cordons have been placed around the site of the blast for the investigators to collect any circumstantial evidence.
