SSP Traffic claims cameras stopped working due to BRT project

PESHAWAR: Over 200 CCTV cameras in the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are nonoperational.
In an interview with Geo News, Senior Superintendent Police (SSP) Traffic Peshawar Kashif Zulfiqar revealed it is difficult to arrest criminals’ due to the cameras being nonoperational.
The police official claimed that the cameras had stopped functioning due to the BRT project.
SSP Traffic Zulfiqar further said the cameras were helpful in several cases including those related to breaking traffic lights and over speeding.
