Lahore man kills father, two sisters in 'family fight' before committing suicide

LAHORE: A man shot dead three people, including his father and two sisters, and wounded his brother late Wednesday here in Malipura area of the city's Shafiqabad locality, police said, adding that a "family fight" led to the killings.

The man — identified as Owais — then shot himself, police added.

The deceased were identified as the man's 60-year-old father, Riaz, and two young sisters — Sidra and Mariyam. The wounded brother, Farhan, 28, was moved to Mayo Hospital Lahore.

The forensic team, police added, have collected all evidence from the scene of the crime, while the dead bodies were shifted to the morgue for post-mortem.

Speaking to the media later, the superintendent of police (SP) for City district said the investigation will take into account all possible angles and that the truth can be ascertained once the statement of Farhan, the wounded brother, is recorded.
