ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court, while hearing the Hajj scandal case, expressing its displeasure, asked for suspending FIA former officer Javed Bukhari from his ANF post.
Supreme Court’s five-member bench headed by the chief justice was hearing the Hajj scandal case, when the CJ expressing his displeasure said that Hussain Asghar was taken out of the Hajj scandal investigations on the order of DG FIA and added one more contempt of court notice would issued, while such notices would also be issued to the secretary establishment and interior secretary also.
Chief Justice asked the secretary establishment to remove former Deputy DG FIA Javed Bukhari from his current posting as Deputy Chief of Anti-Narcotic Force (ANF) and complete the enquiry in four weeks.
A show cause notice was issued to Javed Bukhari for his parting away with the Hajj scandal investigations. On DG FIA’s proposal engaging another officer Inam Ghani as an alternative investigation officer, the court said that let the responsibility of investigation be assigned to him.
