LAHORE: An image taken from a CCTV video camera shows the alleged suicide bomber who carried out the attack outside Data Darbar on Wednesday.

The image was released to Geo News by police and shows the alleged suicide attacker next to the right side of the Elite Force police van and 8:54am. He is facing the main gate of Data Dabar and is wearing a shalwar kameez while carrying a bag.

According to Shahbaz Gill, spokesperson for chief minister of Punjab, the suicide bomber was 15-years-old. He had exited a shop selling fruits before making his way to the Elite Force van. 

CCTV video of Lahore Blast 

At least 10 people including three police officials were martyred in a suicide blast outside the Data Darbar shrine in Lahore on Wednesday morning. The blast targeted an Elite Force police van stationed outside the shrine.

Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi condemned the attack.

The prime minister has sought a report of the incident and has directed the authorities concerned to provide the best possible medical treatment to those injured in the blast.

The president deplored the loss of precious lives in the incident and said those involved in such despicable incident in the holy month of Ramzan are misguided elements.
