RAWALPINDI: Incoming Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan H.E Kuninori Matsuda called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters, said an Inter-Services Public Relations statement.

According to the ISPR, matters of mutual interest including regional security issues were discussed during the meeting with the incoming Japanese envoy.

The two officials acknowledged strong mutual relations between both countries and pledged to further improve the ties. The incoming Japanese ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s contributions towards conflict prevention in the region.
