Did you know you can also cook your favourite BBQ dishes for Eid and feast on a traditional yet healthy meal, different from the rest? Try out these quick and easy BBQ recipes and eat like there's no tomorrow.  

Chicken Bihari Boti

Ingredients:

• Boneless chicken cubes 300 gm

• Coriander roasted and grind 1 tsp

• Cumin roasted and grind 1 tsp

• Whole red chili roasted and grind

• 1 tsp (add more if you like spicy)

• Yoghurt 2-3 tbsp

• Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp

• Poppy seeds powder 1 tsp

• Gram powder (channa powder) 1 tbsp

• Salt 1 tsp or as required

Method:

1. Add all the ingredients in a bowl.

2. Marinate for 1 hour.

3. Preheat oven on 180 C. Take a baking tray and place an oiled grill on it.

4. Thread chicken on skewers

5. Soak wooden skewers in water for 15-20 minutes before using them, this will prevent them from burning.

6. Bake for 30 minutes from each side.

7. You can also barbecue them or cook them in a pan.

8. Serve with dips or chatnies.

Shish Tok

Ingredients:

For chicken marination:

• Boneless chicken 1/2 KG

• Yogurt 1/4 cup

• Sumac powder 2 tsp

• Lemon juice 2 tbsp

• Garlic chopped 1 tbsp

• Tomato puree 2 tbsp

• Cream 3 tbsp

• Oil 1/4 cup

• White pepper 1/2 tsp

• Black pepper 1/2 tsp

• Paprika 1 tsp

• Oregano 1/2 tsp

• Ginger powder 1/2 tsp

• Capsicum 1 (1/2 red and 1/2 green)

• Onion 1

• Boiled rice 2 cups

• Salt 1 tsp or as required

Method:

1. Cut capsicum and onion in cubes.

2. Cut chicken in cubes.

3. Marinate with all ingredients for 1 hour.

4. After 1 hour add cubed onion and capsicum. Mix well.

5. Thread chicken cubes and vegetables in skewers.

1. Keep them on a baking tray.

2. Bake them in preheated oven on 180 C, for 30 minutes.

3. Chop some capsicum and onion.

4. Take remaining marination of chicken.

5. Put this in a pan with chopped vegetables

6. Let it boil for few minutes then add boiled rice and salt pepper of your taste, stir it.

7. Shish Tok masala rice are ready to serve.

Afghani Chops 

Ingredients:

• Lamb chops 500 g

• Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp heaped

• Cinnamon powder (darchini) 1/2 tsp

• Salt 1 tsp

• Crushed black pepper 1 tsp

• White vinegar 2 tbsp

• Oil 3-4 tbsp

• Papaya paste 2 tbsp

• Meat tenderizer powder 1 tsp heaped

Method:

1. Add all ingredients in a bowl.

2. Marinate for 7-8 hours.

3. Thread chops in skewers.

4. Bake them on 175 C ,for 25-30 minutes.

5. Turn them after 15 minutes so they can bake equally both sides.

6. You can also grill them or cook them in a pan.
