North Waziristan clash: MNA Ali Wazir handed over to CTD for 8-day physical remand

ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court on Monday granted an eight-day physical remand of MNA Ali Wazir to the Counter Terrorism Department officials in a case pertaining to the recent clash between Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) and the security forces.

Three people were killed and five soldiers were injured in a clash between security forces and Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) protesters as a group led by Mohsin Javed and Ali Wazir assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya, North Waziristan tribal district. 

Wazir was arrested for provoking the protestors to attack the security force’s check post. The MNA was presented in local court in Bannu.

Sources have informed that Wazir has been transferred to Peshawar.
