MAKKAH: Imam-e-Kaaba and head of the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, Abdurrahman Al-Sudais, has said that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz is the leader of Islamic solidarity and keen to spread unity among Muslim states.

Al-Sudais said in an interview with Okaz Newspaper that King Salman’s wisdom would result in rendering the Islamic Summit, to be held on the holy month of 27th Ramzan, successful with the support of his crown prince, who spares no effort to reinforce the Islamic solidarity.

The Imam-e-Kaaba said the Saudi king has directed Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman to use all available resources and follow up all steps relating to the completion of the projects of the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madina.

He said the crown prince’s recent visit to the Holy Mosque in Makkah had the greatest impact and support in accelerating the completion of the projects on the two holy sites in Makkah and Madina.

“The Crown Prince notified me that the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques would quickly respond to meeting all needs of the projects of the two holy Mosques,” Al-Sudais said.

Speaking about the plan, he said, “140 initiatives of the operational plan in the holy month of Ramzan in the two Holy Mosques have been put forward. We are currently working so hard to move to the creative work away from the traditional and stereotypical ones to keep abreast on the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

He continued further: “In the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques, we carry out works in an innovative and creative method.”

The Imam-e-Kaaba pointed out that the initiatives, put forward in the holy month of Ramzan, including “How to be a good example” and “Your security and safety are our goal”, emerged from the blessed campaign launched by His Highness Prince of Makkah Region Khalid Al Faisal.

Al-Sudais also sent a message to the Islamic media saying: “Come to holding a vocational ethical charter and an honor code that upholds the principles and values. I call upon you to confront the malicious media campaigns against Islam and its Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).”

He also said that the Saudi government had adopted the moderate values of Islam, together with making arduous efforts to develop the services provided to pilgrims, ensuring the smooth and easy performance of the rites.
