If you’re looking to channel your inner chef’s inventiveness, then perhaps it’s time to get creative with the key ingredient of Ramzan –dates as this recipe for Dates and Nuts Ladoo is not only a perfect snack but also the energy boost you need after a long day of fasting.
Ingredients:
• Dates (pitted),
• Almonds,
• Cashews,
• Walnuts,
• Pistachios,
• Peanuts,
• Desiccated coconut (optional)
Method:
• Roast nuts in pan on their own without any oil for a few minutes.
• Leave them aside to cool for a few minutes.
• In the same pan, add dates and continue heating them till they turn soft.
• After that add desiccated coconut.
• Put the dates in a blender and blend before keeping them aside.
• Take the nuts and add them in a blender so that they are finely chopped after which you add the dates again and blend them thoroughly together.
• After that, take small portions of the thick mixture and create balls with your hands in the shape of a ladoo.
• Serve them a topping of desiccated coconut.
