KHAIRPUR: The body of a five-year-old boy who was reported missing a day ago was found on Sunday here in Muhabbatwah Canal of the city's Kot Diji area, authorities confirmed.
The boy had reportedly gone missing yesterday while playing.
The deceased's father said he had suspected his son was kidnapped so he protested at Station Road and then searched for the boy in various other areas overnight.
The father further explained that there was an organised group of child kidnappers active in Khairpur. Some days ago, they had kidnapped a three-year-old girl from Abid Colony, he said, and that there were other similar incidents as well.
