NOTTINGHAM: Undefeated in the tournament India and New Zealand battle it out in a mouthwatering clash of the World Cup at Trent Bridge, Nottingham today.
Both teams have yet to face a defeat in the tournament, with the Kiwis standing at the top of the points table.
The Kiwis so far have benefited with all their games so far being against bottom-tiered teams such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, helping them earn six points.
New Zealand's biggest win in the tournament came against Sri Lanka in their opening game of the tournament, which they won by 10 wickets.
The Black Caps now need to win just three more games out of their six for a place in the semi-final.
The two teams met in the warm-up game before the World Cup with New Zealand bowling out India for 179 runs before going on to win the game by six wickets.
For New Zealand, Trent Boult leads the pack having picked 22 wickets in 12 matches against the men in blue.
On the other hand, India are unbeaten the tournament with a six-wicket win over South Africa and then a 36-run win over defending champions Australia.
The Indian batsman have displayed some great power hitting in their first two matches and will be instrumental in today's match.
Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan both scored tons against South Africa and Australia respectively, while skipper Virat Kohli is also in decent form.
However, Dhawan has been ruled out of the tournament for three weeks due to an injury on his left thumb.
The match between India and New Zealand will begin at 2:30pm Pakistan Standard Time.
