LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N Coordinator Memoona Jabeen, her gunman and a passerby were killed on spot while three passers by were injured when armed men opened fire in Badami Bagh area, Lahore.
One of the passers by succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at a hospital.
According to police, the incident was a result of an old enmity between Bhandar Group and Zahid Group based in Badami Bagh area.
On Saturday, Zahid Malik’s sister and PML-N Coordinator Memoona Jabeen was traveling in her car which came under fire attack by armed men of Bhandar Group. Jabeen, her gunman Ashfaq and a passerby Owais were killed on the spot while three other passers by Faqir Hussain, Kabeer and Yaqoob sustained injuries.
They were shisted to hospital where Yaqoob expired while receiving treatment.
Last year, 7 people including additional advocate general Punjab Arif Bhandar and his rival Zahid Malik were killed when two clashing groups traded fire.
