ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to PM for Information and Broadcasting, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that her statement regarding birth defect was not for a specific person.

Defected are the ones who contradict between their words and actions, she said while speaking on Geo News' program Geo Pakistan.

During a press conference last day, Firdouq Ashiq Awan said "Prime Minister Imran Khan has a mandate. The parliament selected him first and elected him by the official voting but, there is one political leader who has been rejected by the Supreme Court for a lifetime".

"Selected, elected, and rejected for a lifetime should be talked about, as there is one political leader who was born with birth-defects", she added.

In a conversation with "Geo Pakistan", she said "Birth-defect is a medical term and why is it being politically crafted? I won't take my words back. The statement was not for a specific person."

"Every person who contradicts his words with his actions is born with a birth defect, it can also be a political person who might have physical, medical, and psychological defects by birth."

On the other hand, Firdous Ashiq Awan said in one of her statements, "It is the first time ever in the history of Pakistan that tax-recovery system has been given a proper shape. Captain picked up the practical step towards self-reliance on the destination for Pakistan."

"Prime minister proved with his actions that we all should work together as a nation to get out of the swamp of helplessness. The prime minister made brave decisions which are beneficial for the nation and not his own politics."

She further said, "Once we pass through this harsh period with courage and stability, the future will be bright."
