Cold blooded killing of youth by Rangers
KARACHI: In what seems to be a repeat of the Kharotabad incident, Sindh Rangers killed an unarmed young man in Karachi and claimed that it was an encounter.

Though a case was registered against the five Rangers personnel at the Boat Basin Police Station, they were not handed over to the police by the Rangers authorities.

The shocking incident came to light late on Wednesday night when the Rangers personnel were found to be involved in the cold blooded murder of the young man at the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto park in Clifton, Karachi.

The incident was captured by several people on their cell phone cameras, and the gruesome footage later found its way to television channels. Afsar Khan of Shireen Jinnah Colony had registered an FIR accusing the young man Sarfraz Shah of trying to rob him at gunpoint.

However, the footage on television channels later revealed that the young man was captured unarmed by the Rangers and shot in cold blood at point blank range. He was seen pleading for his life while surrounded by a group of Rangers personnel who fired shots at him in full public view.

After the incident, relatives and supporters took the body of the young man to the CM House and protested against the killing. They demanded that an FIR be lodged immediately against the Rangers personnel and those involved should be arrested.
