THAR: At least three more children in Tharparkar's Civil Hospital Mithi have died of malnutrition, sources at the provincial health department said Monday.

According to the sources, two of the deceased were newborns and the third was 11 months old.

In the current month, the number of children who died due to malnutrition has now risen to 22 whereas the same cause, coupled with various other diseases, has taken the lives of as many as 437 children this year.

On June 17, seven children had died of malnutrition in Thar's Mithi. Sources at the Department of Health at that time had informed that the ages of the deceased children were between two days and three years.
