Three Pakistanis march into round three of World Junior Squash Championship

Three Pakistanis—Noor Zaman, Haris Qasim, and Muhammad Farhan Hashmi—won their games in round two of the World Junior Squash Championship

Three Pakistani players have marched into the third round of the World Junior Squash Championship being played in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Pakistan's Noor Zaman, Haris Qasim, and Muhammad Farhan Hashmi won their games in round two of the championship. However, Hamza Sharif, Naved Rehman, and Hamza Khan were beaten and knocked out.

Farhan Hashmi, Pakistan's emerging squash player, lost the first two games against India's Arnaav Sareen before fighting back to win the match with scores of 6-11, 11-13, 11-9, 11-4, 11-6 in a nail-biting encounter that lasted around 66 minutes.

David Maier from Liechtenstein gave a tough time to Pakistan's Noor Zaman but failed to stop him. Noor won the five-game encounter 3-2.

Another talented player from Pakistan, Haris Qasim, sailed through the next round smoothly in 20 minutes with a 11-3, 11-2, and 11-1 win over Juan Jose Torres Lara of Colombia.

Naveed Rehman of Pakistan was beaten easily 3-0 by India's Veer Chotrani while Hamza Khan went down 3-2 against USA's Dany Santry after taking a 2-0 lead.

Third seed Mostafa El Serty from Egypt downed Hamza Sharif 11-6, 14-12 and 11-8 in the second round.

The third round of the tournament will be played on Thursday.
