PESHAWAR: The Kohat police in a crackdown arrested 45 suspected persons including five proclaimed offenders (POs) and four arms dealers during and recovered caches of lethal weapons from their possession.
According to press release issued here on Wednesday, Kohat police launched crackdown in various areas of the district and arrested 45 suspects including five POs namely Raiz Khan, Gul Ahmed, Naiz, Janan and Zarghon Shah.
The law enforcers recovered three Kalashnikovs, five shot guns, 10 pistols, 11 magazines and hundreds of cartridges from their possession and shifted the suspects to undisclosed place for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the city police station conducted raid on Bara Arms Market situated here at Bannu Bazaar and arrested four arms dealers besides recovering two Kalashnikovs, three guns, five pistols, 10 magazines and hundreds of cartridges from their possession. (APP)
