ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke to United Arab Emirates Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Zayed on Friday, where he apprised him of the deteriorating condition of occupied Kashmir after India revoked its special status earlier this month.
In the telephonic conversation, the prime minister told the UAE crown prince about the lockdown in the occupied valley. The curfew has reached its fourth week, PM Imran mentioned to the UAE leader.
The prime minister said that the Kashmiris are awaiting strong support of the Islamic nations, adding that the Pakistani nation has high hopes from the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries.
Since the time the Indian government revoked Article 370, its security forces plunged the occupied valley deeper in the state of curfew, protests and lockdown.
PM Imran Khan has been actively contacting the international community to pay heed to the plight of innocent Kashmiris.
In his address today as the nation observed Kashmir Hour, PM announced that the Kashmir issue will be raised in the United Nations General Assembly. “I have told world leaders that if they do not stand with Kashmiris against Modi, the impact will be global in a similar way to what happened when the world did not stand against Hitler.”
On Thursday, PM Imran Khan called Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan and discussed regional issues, particularly the situation in IoK.
PM Imran had also telephoned King Abdullah II of Jordan to highlight the deteriorating situation in Indian occupied Kashmir.
In his phone call to King Abdullah, the PM briefed him on India’s illegal and repressive policies in occupied Kashmir that has not only led to a grave humanitarian crisis but also endangered peace and security in the region.
