Twin Quetta blasts leave one dead, 12 others wounded

Twin blasts took place in Quetta’s Kharotabad and Khaizi Chowk areas, injuring 12, including two police officers and multiple journalists

QUETTA: At least one person was killed and 12 others, including two police officers and multiple journalists, were injured as twin blasts shook the city's Kharotabad and Khaizi Chowk areas on Thursday, rescue sources said.

Rescue sources said that a cylinder blast took place inside a transport company’s office, wounding six people. As rescue officials and police reached the site of incident, another blast occurred.

Due to the twin blasts police officers, rescue officials, and others were wounded.

Rescue sources said that those wounded in the attack have been shifted to a hospital.

Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan directed officials to submit a report on the twin Quetta blasts.
