ISLAMABAD: A Karachi-bound airplane with over 100 passengers on board made an emergency landing at the Benazir Bhutto Airport in Islamabad on Tuesday after one of its engines caught fire.
According to sources, the aircraft belonging to a private airline took off from the Islamabad airport, but returned to the tarmac for a emergency landing as one of its engines caught fire.
All passengers and crew were safely evacuated from the aircraft following the emergency landing.
Sources said the airline was arranging another plane to transport the passengers to Karachi.
