Balochistan Budget-2011-12 today
QUETTA: Provincial Finance Minister Asim Kurd will present the provincial budget-2011-12 before the provincial assembly this afternoon (Tuesday) with an expected volume of Rs170 billion.

Balochistan finance ministry sources told that all is set for presentation of the budget at 3.00 P. M. today. The total volume of the budget will constitute of Rs140 billion non-development expenditures and development arount Rs30 billion.

Sources said that it would be a tax-free budget with a deficit of around Rs7 billion. The provincial budget proposes 15 percent increase in the salaries of the government employees and 20 percent enhancement in the pension of the retired employees.

Sources said that the largest amount has been allocated to the education sector roughly Rs20 billion, while for the law and order Rs13 billion and for health Rs9 billion. The budget envisages creation of over 6,000 new jobs for controlling the worst unemployment situation besides Rs3 billion has been provided for natural calamity relief. Moreover, sufficient funds provided for projects relating to solar energy as an alternate source.
