Freed Pakistanis to reach Karachi today

KARACHI: The 22 persons including four Pakistanis who were released by Somali pirates will arrive in Karachi today (Thursday) in the afternoon, Geo News reported. According to Navy spokesman, they will arrive on the PNS Zulfiqar.

The crew of the MV Suez includes four Pakistanis, six Indians, one Sri Lankan and eleven Egyptians. They all were transferred from the PNS Babur to PNS Zulfiqar on Monday.

A special reception has been arranged at the Governor’s House in the honour of freed Pakistanis whereas the foreigners will be handed over to their respective ambassadors in the ceremony.

Families of the freed crew members are preparing to welcome their long awaited family members including Captain Wasi, Diesel Mechanic Mohammad Muzammil and Third Engineer Syed Alam.
