NEW YORK: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said on Saturday that Pakistan has played its part in the Afghan peace process, adding that the country does not want the region to go through any form of conflict.
The FM was speaking on Geo News show ‘Nayya Pakistan’ where he said that Pakistan wants that the Afghanistan issue is resolved through negotiation, adding that it is hoped that the Taliban and US resume talks.
Speaking on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, the foreign minister said that the Indian forces martyred six Kashmiris today in retaliation.
He said that there were slogans of ‘shame, shame India’ being reverberated through the UNGA hall on Friday – something which has never happened before, he added.
The foreign minister said that Pakistan is facing many challenges at various fronts.
