Lahore: Prime Minister Imran Khan's close aide Awn Chaudhry has excused himself from accepting the post of chairman of the Censor Board Punjab.
Chaudhry, who was recently removed as the adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister, said on Twitter that he will keep working as a political worker for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
In a tweet, he said: "I have humbly excused myself from accepting the post of Chairman CensorBoard Punjab so the rumors in this regard are untrue. I will keep working as a political worker for my party InshaAllah".
Awn Chaudhry was replaced by Asif Mehmood as adviser to the Punjab Chief Minister on September 13.
