Several versions of Iron Man’s death were shot: Jeff Ford

Robert Downey Jr. wanted to make the death scene of 'Iron Man' impactful revealed, the Avengers: Endgame editor, Jeff Ford.

The top grossing movie saw a climatic finish and left fans saddened as Tony Stark’s, Iron Man role came to an end.

In a recent interview with Collider the editor of the movie revelead that Joe and Anthony Russo's directorial had shot multiple versions of Iron Man's death.

“He likes to try different things. And because he’s an intuitive actor, he likes to do that on camera in case he hits something that is special. Very often he does.”

He further went on to say that, the directorial shot were a run of different performances for the last moment, some of them were crazy, some of them they would have never used.

“Some of them were jokes. Some of them were obscenities. Some of them were completely emotional, raw, insane things that he was doing. And then some of them were combinations of all three of those things.” Ford stated.

The end of Iron Man was actually the end of an era and has sparked many debates that there could have been an alternate ending to the movie.
