ISLAMABAD: Additional DG FIA Zafar Qureshi has reassumed charge of investigation officer of the team probing NICL corruption case, while the issue of transfer of others members has taken a serious turn, Geo News reported on Saturday.
According to the sources, Zafar Qureshi while assuming the charge again, has written letter to the DG FIA to cancel the transfers of other team members. They added that the copy of letter has also been sent to Home Secretary and Registrar SC.
It may be noted here that the Supreme Court of Pakistan had on Friday suspended the transfer notification of NICL inquiry officer and Additional Director General Zafar Ahmed Qureshi as Director General of the National Police Foundation (NPF).
Meanwhile, spokesman for the FIA has said that transfers of other eight officers were made as per the policy of the government. Spokesman said duration of appointment of any officer at one place is three years while these officials had completed 4 to 15 years.
