Qureshi, Mushahidullah trade gibes outside Parliament
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mushahidullah Khan on Friday said that the result of Karachi's NA-246 by-polls shows that the people have rejected the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“If they were trying to break into somebody's home-ground, then they should have returned successful. They should not have failed as miserably as this,” he said.

Speaking outside Parliament today, Mushahidullah said that if PTI had boasted of conquering Karachi, then they should not have “scampered back after two slaps to a worker”.

But the PML-N leader was greeted by PTI leader Shah Mehmood Qureshi as soon as he stepped off the dais, who told Mushahidullah to not get too furious and keep his blood pressure in check.

Qureshi replied to the PML-N leader’s criticism by saying that his party participated in the political process.

“We did not run away. We were not deserters like the N-League,” he said.

Qureshi warned the MQM that the party was in danger of losing at least 10 seats in the next elections.

The PTI leader congratulated MQM candidate Kanwar Naveed Jamil on winning the NA-246 by-election, while also congratulated PTI candidate Imran Ismail for breaking ‘the idols of fear’ and ‘waving the PTI flag’ in NA-246.
