Chunian child rapist-murderer's statement recorded by magistrate

CHUNIAN: The statement of the infamous accused rapist-killer involved in the horrific Chunian child murders was recorded by a local magistrate here in the city on Wednesday.

The statement of Suhail Shahzad, a 27-year-old rickshaw driver and the primary accused, was recorded as per the Criminal Procedure Code's Section 164, which makes it mandatory for the confession to be recorded in audio-video electronic manner and while the accused's counsel is present.

How did police catch Chunian rapist-killer?

Shahzad confessed to killing five children in total, police sources informed Geo News.

Shahzad was brought to the local judicial magistrate under strict security and presented to Judicial Magistrate Bushra Farid. Later, after his confession statement was recorded and his 36-day remand completed, he was sent to the jail.
