Mianwali exempted from loadshedding: minister
MIANWALI: Punjab Minister for Zakat and Ushr Nadeem Kamran said the federal government had given exemption from electricity loadshedding for time-being in the district on the request of the Punjab government.

A high-level committee has been set up to fix responsibility of the Mianwali incident while a judicial inquiry will be also held, the minister told the media after negotiations with representatives of a nineteen-member supreme council of Tahreek-Haqooq-e-Mianwali here on Tuesday.

He said on the demand of the representatives a high level committee headed by Zulfiqar Ali Khosa, advisor to CM Punjab, had also been set up which would fix responsibility of the incident and present its report on Wednesday evening to the Punjab chief minister.

Minister Nadeem Kamran and former MNA Inaamullah Khan will be members of the committee.

The minister said a judge of the High Court would hold an enquiry into the incident.

He said the chief minister would decided about withdrawal of cases and transfers of officers. He added that no persons would be arrested till the chief minister's decision in the regard.

Kamran said the provincial government would send its recommendations for complete exemption to Mianwali district from loadshedding.

The representatives of THM said that they had decided to stop protest till July 19. They further said that they would prepare a plan in the light of decisions and steps taken by the government.

Punjab Minister Nadeem Kamran, Commissioner Sargodha division Jawad Rafiq Malik, Inaam Ullah Khan former MNA and representatives of THM including Khursheed Anwar Khan, Sajid Khan, Babar Khan, Azmat Ullah Khan, Saleem Gul Khan, Abdur Rehman Khan, Falik Sher, Rana Muhammad Idrees and Abdul Majid Zahid took part in the negotiations to pacify the situation in the district.
