QUETTA: Balochistan Social Welfare Department constituted a committee comprising the department's senior officials to probe into running away case of seventeen women and children from a government shelter-home (Darul Aman) in the provincial capital Quetta on Sunday last.
A senior Social Welfare department official told APP here Tuesday that as many as 13 women and four children had absconded from the shelter-home during night after breaking the windowpanes of the room they were living in.
They fleeing persons belong to Jaffarabad and Nasirabad districts of the province whose whereabouts could not be ascertained so far.
However, the police are making efforts in this regard.
