SUKKUR: The negotiations between the Sukkur jail police and prisoners for the release of officials finally met success and the hostages held by the prisoners were released Wednesday, Geo News reported.
Earlier, the clashes continued at Sukkur Central Jail One and the prisoners continued their protest and took to the roofs of barracks.
Last night firing by unknown people claimed life of one prisoner who was standing on the roof of the barrack. This incident further fueled the clashes.
According to the Superintendent Jail, hostages included the head clerk, two FC personnel, and seven police officers.
