LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-N Chief Nawaz Sharif Thursday expressing grief on the death of two people during a protest demonstration in Mianwali, directed the Punjab government to form an enquiry committee to initiate inquiry in the incident, Geo News reported.
Former PML-N MNA Inamullah Niazi briefed Nawaz Sharif on the incident here at Chief Minister House. Senior provincial Minister Zulfiqar Khosa and Hamza Shahbaz were also present on the occasion.
“An inquiry committee be formed and those responsible for the killings be taken to task,” Nawaz Sharif directed.
He also directed the Punjab government to withdraw FIR lodged against the protesting citizens.
