'Wah, wah!': People in Sindh relish savoury tiddi broast

Two friends from Sukkur barbecued locusts insects and savoured the freshly-cooked, tender tiddi broast right off the skewers

SUKKUR: While many are terrified with the recent attack of locusts, food-lovers in the Sindh district have made a unique dish out of them — tiddi broast.

After tiddi biryani made rounds on social media, two friends residing in Sukkur were seen barbecuing the insects and savouring the freshly-cooked, tender tiddi broast right off the skewers.

The swarm of locusts have appeared in Sukkur as well after moving across deserts and agricultural lands.

But the two friends are not worried and are lost in the mouth-watering taste. As one eats the newly-made tiddi broast, the other films him and comments on the dish.
