MIANWALI: On the appeal of the Tehreek-e-Haqooq, Mianwali, protests and the shutter-down strike continued in the city Monday, Geo News reported.
Tehreek-e-Haqooq, Mianwali said it appealed for the strike and protests because their demands have not been met and their workers are still detained.
The shutter-down strike and protests have continued in the city since last week. The protestors are demanding uninterrupted power supply to the city.
During these protests, two people were killed and at least 15 were arrested by the police and cases against them were lodged under the terrorist act.
Following these incidents, Tehreek-e-Haqooq, Mianwali called for a shutter-down strike and all markets and trading centers of the city remained closed.
