Pak-Afghan Agri Trade training begins
FAISALABAD: A fortnight training program in support of capacity development for Agricultural Trade in Afghanistan and Pakistan has begun at Video Conference Room of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) here on Monday.

The event organized by the UAF is jointly sponsored by Trade Corridor Working Group of Afghanistan, Pakistan and United States.

Instructors from US Dr. Glyn Bledsoe and Dr. Barbara Rasco will impart training to the participants while as many as 30 participants hailing from Pakistan and Afghanistan are participating in it.

A spokesman for the UAF said that the program is aimed at enhancing the capacity among the people of both the countries to boost up trade that will lead to the development.

He said the participants would be trained about the theory and practices in adult education, skills and curriculum development, effective presentation, identification of current trade impediments that affect the ability to deliver high quality food at sale points in both countries, water quality, worker hygiene and fertilizer/chemical use and developing a sanitation program and food safety hazards respectively.
