Trespasser allegedly rapes physically-disabled teenage girl in Karachi's Landhi

KARACHI: A man allegedly raped a physically-disabled teenage girl in Landhi's Majeed Colony when she was alone at her home, police said Wednesday, adding that they have arrested the suspect.

Rangers had first caught the alleged sexual predator after an alert and then handed him over the to police.

The man had entered through the door when the 18-year-old girl's parents were out to drop her siblings off to school. When they returned, they yelled for help, which is when the Rangers personnel from a nearby check-post arrived.

The sexual assault survivor was shifted to a local hospital for a medical test.

The suspect, identified as Sajid, was shifted to Quaidabad police station, where a first information report (FIR) over the incident was registered.
