Deepika Padukone holds up teary-eyed Laxmi Agarwal at 'Chhapaak' song launch

Deepika Padukone won the world's heart at the song launch of her movie Chhapaak. Her film proved to become a voice in the dark abyss of silence, that acid attack survivors battle against, on a daily basis.

Deepika was seen  holding up acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal, who could be seen slowly breaking down as the title track progressed.

The star seemed to have trouble holding herself up during the performance too. Her heartfelt reaction and consolation of Laxmi won fans' hearts, and not only that, but her reactions were deeply applauded.

During a previous interview, Deepika stated that Chhapaak isn't a biopic but tells 'the story of her (Malti's) journey, struggle, triumph and the human spirit.'
