LAHORE: The 10th edition of the National Women's Volleyball will go into action on Tuesday at Hamidi Hall Pakistan Sports Complex, Islamabad.
Pakistan Volleyball Federation (PVF) is organising the premier activity being participated by seven leading teams of the country, said Major retd, Mohammad Afzal while talking to APP here on Monday.
The participating teams are Wapda, Higher Education Commission (HEC), Balochistan, Punjab, FATA, KPK and Islamabad.
"A keen competition is likely to be witnessed during the four-day meet which aims at further popularising volleyball among women ",he said.
The semi finals of the event will be held on July 28 and final on July 29.
Wapda will take on KPK in the opening tie.He said PVF has formed a tournament committee for the successful holding of the championship. The committee is headed by Muhammad Iqbal Khan. Muhammad Baksh Javed (Director Competition), Agha Amjad(Director Facilities), Najma Anwar (Organizing Secretary),Nadia Tabassum, are the members of the committee.
Dr. Shaheen Khan, Chairperson FBISE, Islamabad will be Chief guest on the opening ceremony.
