LAHORE: Governor Punjab Sardar Latif Khosa Wednesday said the Chief Justice of Pakistan should refrain from issuing statements like the ones in which the latter hinted at officers being handcuffed and produced before the court, Geo News reported.
Addressing a program at Pakistan Engineering Congress here, the Punjab Governor said attempts were being made to derail democracy and advised the Chief Justice 'not to become anybody's tool'.
He said the President and Prime Minister had taken oath of upholding the law and the Constitution; 'they would not commit any wrongdoing'. Functioning within the parameters of law is not only the duty of the government but of everyone else too, he added.
