Arrangements for 'Sasta Ramzan Bazars' finalized

RAWALPINDI: City District Government (CDG) has finalized arrangements for establishing "Sasta Ramzan Bazaars" as directed by Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

According to a spokesman of CDG, special price control magistrates will conduct surprise visits to check the prices of daily use items at Ramzan Bazaars.

He said that all the TMAs were directed to complete arrangements of Sasta Ramzan Bazars one week before the commencement of the holy month of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak, so that maximum relief could be provided to the masses in the holy month.

As many as 37 'Sasta Ramzan Bazars' would be established in Rawalpindi division to provide relief to the common people, he said adding all the arrangements has also been finalized for holding 16 Sasta Ramazan Bazaars in Rawalpindi district.

Ample stock of all daily use commodities would be ensured at these bazars to control black marketing and artificial shortage of daily use items, he said.

The spokesman informed that Utility Store Corporation would also set up stalls in all Sasta Ramzan Bazars for facilitation of the citizens.

He said, flour would also be available in these bazaars on subsidized rates and the subsidy would be given by the Punjab Government. All out efforts would be made to provide relief to citizens, he added.
