LAHORE: A man killed his young sister-in-law in a town near the city, police confirmed on Wednesday, adding that they were yet to arrest him.
According to police, the man — in the Sanda town near the provincial capital — flew into a rage when when she had allegedly refused to transfer her property to him. He had been pressurising her to hand over the house's ownership to him since some time but shot her dead when she declined following a heated argument, police added.
After killing his sister-in-law, the suspect fled the crime scene and has since been absconding, police said, noting that they had set up a team to search for and arrest him.
They added that body was shifted to a local hospital for post-mortem.
