Wasan for all-out efforts to restore peace in Khi
KARACHI: Sindh Home Minister Manzoor Hussain Wasanon Monday said that Karachi was an international city and a mini-Pakistan inhabited by people belonging to different backgrounds and he would make all out efforts to restore peace in the city.

He was talking to media persons after meeting with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders at Azizabad here on Monday.

The Provincial Home Minister said he had telephonic conversation with MQM Chief Altaf Hussain three days ago and they discussed the obtaining situation in Sindh, especially in Karachi.

He said matters would not be settled only by talking about peace and he would make all out efforts to ensure peace.

Wasan added he would convene a meeting and chalk out a clear strategy.

He said he was meeting with leaders of all parties and action would be taken against the elements involved in terrorism.

Wasan told a questioner that Altaf Hussain had assured him of cooperation in maintaining peace in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, member of MQM's Rabita Committee Dr. SagheerAhmed thanked the Sindh Home Minister on behalf of Altaf Hussain for visiting the MQM headquarters.
