DBA observes strike against manhandling Mian Jamshed

FAISALABAD: District Bar Association (DBA) observed strike by protesting against the manhandling of Mian Jamshed Gill Advocate by Dry Port officials, here on Tuesday.

The lawyers did not appear in the courts due to which the clients faced great deal of difficulties.

A spokesman of the DBA told that Hamayun Bhatti deputy collector customs along with other officials tortured to Mian Jamshed Gill in addition to keeping him under illegal detention.

He further told that Mr. Gill had litigation with Deputy Collector which infuriated the officer and he not only kept the advocate under illegal detention and tortured him. They forced Mian Jamshed to withdraw the case against them, otherwise, they would eliminate him.

The executive body of the DBA also condemned the attitude of Dry Port Officers and demanded action against them immediately.
