LAHORE: Police on Tuesday confirmed that a drive-by shooting left a 30-year-old man dead here in the city's Badami Bagh area and that the deceased's family suspected his first wife to be behind the killing.

According to the police, the unknown suspects were on a motorcycle and shot the man — who was riding a motorcycle too — in the head.

The victim was identified as a resident of Makhan Pura, police said, adding that he had two wives. However, it was unclear whether the wives knew about each other.

The deceased's family suspected his first wife to be responsible for the murder, police noted, adding, however, that facts could only be ascertained during the investigation.
