PSL 2020: Islamabad United face Peshawar Zalmi in evening clash

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium to play host to Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi, weather permitting

Cricket action will turn to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium (if the weather permits) as Islamabad United take on Pehawar Zalmi in the second Pakistan Super League (PSL) fixture of the day.

The match hangs in the balance, however, as rains have lashed the twin cities for hours today. 

Both the teams have played four games in the tournament so far, winning two and losing two.

Two-time champions United earlier defeated Multan Sultans by eight wickets and Lahore Qalandars by one wicket; however, they ended up losing to Quetta Gladiators twice, once by three wickets, and then by five wickets on February 27.

United, led by young leg-spinner Shadab Khan, boast the likes of Luke Ronchi, Colin Ingram, Colin Munro, Phil Salt, Dale Steyn Hussain Talat, Asif Ali.

Not to be left behind are the Darren Sammy-led Zalmi, who have the likes of Shoaib Malik, Wahab Riaz, Haider Ali, Umar Amin, Liam Livingstone, Hasan Ali, Wahab Riaz, Rahat Ali among others in their squad. 

The match between Peshawar Zalmi and Islamabad United is scheduled to start at 7pm, but a delay can be expected due to the bad weather.
