FAISALABAD: Owners of 39 hotels, canteens and eatery shops were sent behind the bars on charge of violating Ehtiram-e-Ramzan Ordinance in Faisalabad.
According to a spokesman of City District Government (CDG), Assistant Commissioner (AC) Sadar Shehzad Fazal Abbasi conducted raids at Sammudri Road and Mananwala and found owners of eight hotels Noor Muhammad, Ismaeel, Ramzan, Abdus Salam, Khalid Javaid, Usman, Javaid and Shafiq involved in violating Ehtiram-e-Ramzan Ordidnance whereas AC City Chaudhary Asif nabbed 11 owners of eateries- Fayyaz, Zafar Iqbal, Akhtar, Basharat, Nisarat, Muhammad Luqman, Jaffar Husain, Tanveer, Ehsan, Muhammad Akhtar and Shehzad Butt while violating this ordinance at Jhang Road and Sargodha Road.
Similarly, AC Jaranwala Adnan Shahid arrested 11 hotel/canteen owners -Mujahid, Sajid, Bashir, Javaid, Asghar Ali, Nazar Ali, Saqlain, Tahir, Ameen and Pehalwan from 240 Mor Lahore Road, Buchiyana and Faisalabad Road while AC Chak Jhumra Zameer-ul-Haq caught 6 hotel owners violating Ehtiram-e-Ramzan Ordinance in his jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, AC Sammundri arrested a hotel owner Muhammad Munir from 45 Adda Gojra Road whereas AC Tandlianwala nabbed hotel owner Muhammad Luqman from grain market and eatery shop owner Muhammad Yaqoob from Haidar Chowk.
The raiding officers conducted their challans and sent them to jail for 72 hours.
